One product we distribute that always gets a reaction from out customer of "I didn't know you could do that" is in regards to the custom 1 3/8" thick labeled door instead of the more common 1 3/4" thick labeled metal door. 

In the commercial world, a 1 3/8" thick door is used to solve a common retrofit problem. If you want to change the swing of a door without changing out the frame, you can elect to do so with this 1 3/8" door that fits in the 1 9/16" frame rabbet using a full surface continuous hinge for an easy swing.

A 1 3/8" labeled door must meet the same requirements as a 1 3/4" door. It must have a minimum number or  approved hinges, be self closing & self latching. Distributing for one of the very few manufacturers with the ability to put labels on 1 3/8" thick doors lets us  stand out in the crowd. This image shows the correct way to install a welded hollow metal frame. Many installers use the welded on spreader bar to hold the opening width but that spreader bar even though it is close to the opening width is just for shipping purposes and you really need to use a Jig similar to the wooden one in the picture for 100% accuracy.
